My Final Entry for the WACOM "Bring Your Vision to Life"contest
The two completely different, sides... Sometimes united as one, but never equal...
I was supposed to paint a highly detailed and more realistic piece, but school and time doesn't completely agree to that statement...
In the beginning of this piece I was thinking of the concept "Manifested Evil" a dark shadow, swiftly in a brutal movement, floating over the ground, in its tar like appearance, assembling into the fearsome creature you can see...
About the Manifestation of good I imagined a white knight in a Angel like appearance with silver armor, armed with 2 swords and feather inspired spikes as for the shoulder and knee protectors... As well having an anonymous face/mask... But I changed my mind and made what you now see, the human figure protected by an exoskeletal armor...
So a little bit about the philosophy of the piece:
The Good wears an armor to symbolize its vulnerability, and in this way being honest...
The Evil wears no armor to make itself appear invincible and rules trough fear, by this the Evil lies...
They are both equal in strength and vulnerability...
That is why this eternal battle always have existed... and always will...
So the Title Is the statement the Good expresses as these two ancient rivals encounters each other, which they have done since the beginning of time...
Anyway, I hope you like this... One of the better things I've done lately...
I love how Evil looks so powerful, but Good isn't frightened by Evil's power, and so we know that Good is also powerful.
10 out of 10 Stars, great work.
